Biography

A native of Northern Kentucky, Alisha is the female half of the well-known 90’s Gospel rap group A-1 S.W.I.F.T. Founded in the early 90’s out of Testament Worship Center pastored by the late Tyna T. Duncan, A-1 S.W.I.F.T. signed with a Gospo-Centric record label out of Las Angeles California. While signed to Gospo-Centric, A-1 S.W.I.F.T. released two albums; the 1992 debut Turn Yourself Around featuring Gospel legend the late Daryl Coley, and the follow-up Tales from the Swift with a guest appearance from Bishop Noel Jones. Both albums were Produced by legendary music producers Buster and Shavoni of We Fly Music with Tales from the Swift album peaking at number 38 and Turn Yourself Around at number 17 on Gospel’s Billboard chart.

Alisha was a guest artist on other gospel projects like; Kirk Franklin’s God’s Property, Trinitee 5:7 and Gospel Gangstaz. Also, Alisha appeared on national television shows Good Morning America, David Letterman, Motown Live, Bobby Jones Gospel, BET’s Teen Summit, Billboard Awards, Dove Awards, Stellar Awards, to name just a few.

Since her days in the gospel music industry, Alisha raised her three children and went back to school to earn two Bachelor’s degrees and a Master’s degree and is currently working in the field of Marketing and Public Relations.

The future consists of making a resurgence in the gospel music industry, writing her memoirs, and living life to the fullest.
